Munson is an 11.5 year old English Bulldog who is equal parts goof ball and curmudgeon. As he is the “first child” of two UGA graduates, he was named after the late, great Larry Munson. Larry was UGA’s radio play by play announcer for over 40 years and retired about a month before little Munson was born. He was his dad Ron’s first birthday present to Carmen as newlyweds and when he asked what she wanted to name the puppy, Munson was her first response and she never wavered. Munson loves to eat (as evidenced by his Botticelli-esque figure) and sleep. He tends to bark his head off when the family dances or plays loud music so they sometimes refer to him as the Footloose dog (for you young ones - look up the movie on IMDB - it’s pretty funny). As a senior citizen, he doesn’t get around that well anymore but still loves to play with his favorite plastic drainage pipe and loves company and receiving pets and snuggles!
