Who's your favorite character from the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz"? Is it Dorothy, played by Judy Garland? Tin Man? Cowardly Lion? Do you still have nightmares over the Wicked Witch of the West or those flying monkeys? (my sister HATED those things!)

One enduring and iconic role from the movie is Toto, played by a Cairn Terrier. Williams Park has it's own scrappy little Cairn in residence, and his name is Rudy. Although Rudy has not been faced with a nemesis like a broom riding witch, he likes to keep his reflexes sharp with regular walks, just in case.

Rudy is a very good boi, and other than walks he really likes hot dogs. Which is a good thing, as they occasionally are used to camouflage pills. Nobody tell Rudy, please.

On this occasion Rudy was escorting a very charming 'young in spirit' hooman named Bob. When I asked for Rudy's age, Bob shared that Rudy is 6, and (with a twinkle in his eye) he is the same age, plus about 80 something! [I told Bob I didn't believe him, and that he didn't look a day past 60!! He liked that.]
