‘Stache bash, Pipe Farm, Baby Boom, Pirates, Dragons and Desserted islands?

What do all of these things have in common? Well once upon a time, in Smyrna’s Oldest Neighborhood, the neighbors would get together often. They would host parties and get together for Happy Hours. They would hold contests for best Chili, best ‘stache, best dessert. They dressed as pirates and even had pet dragons. Did you know that Whitfield Parc was once best known as the “Pipe Farm”, and before that Valley Woods?

You can read about all of these things and more in the Williams Park Memo archives right here on this website.

Dating back to 2006 and up until late 2018, Casey Clavin organized and edited the quarterly memo. I perused through these just recently and could not believe all the fun this neighborhood had back in the days. I still can’t understand how Casey and Team were able to find so much news to report about and in such detail?

You can find things about the rich history of our neighborhood, War Heroes, local heroes, who had a baby, who got married and the latest scoop on the next project.

There’s really SO MUCH to read about in these newsletters and I hope you’ll take some time to learn some history about our great neighborhood when you get the chance.
