Oct/Dec Happy Hour
One of the best things about WPN are the friendships made within our community. Our monthly Happy Hours are a great place to meet new people, see old friends and eat delicious food in a fun and casual atmosphere. Held on the third Friday of every month at a WPN household, neighbors bring an appetizer to share and their drink of choice to catch up with neighbors. We are very grateful to have such wonderfully active members and would like to extend a hearty Thank You to each and every host!
In October, Linda McElveen graciously stepped up and volunteered to host when the original location had to reschedule. Linda and her late husband, Leon, have hosted more happy hours than she can count for Williams Park. They’ve always been happy to fill in when the original hosts are unable. This time Linda co-hosted with her daughter, Erin. They both enjoyed seeing both new and old friends gather on their notable wrap-around porch. Linda is grateful to Rob and Christy Allen for allowing the neighborhood to use their fantastic fire pit. Memorable food contributions for the night included the Denny's Pigs in a Blanket and Todd Magill's Prosciutto Skull. Linda has lived in Williams Park for 12 years after moving from Buckhead, and she says “Williams Park will always be my neighborhood.” Thanks, Linda, for opening your home and porch for the neighborhood happy hour once again!
Unfortunately, for the first time since 2006, November Happy Hour was cancelled and couldn't be relocated in time.
December Happy Hour was hosted by Emily DeVane. She has lived in Williams Park for 4 years and has loved every minute of it! This was Emily’s second time hosting a happy hour. December’s happy hour was truly the most perfect way to end 2019 with our WPN neighbors. Emily’s house was decked out in holiday cheer, the food that was shared was delicious and festive, and everyone left with a happy, merry and cheerful heart. Happy Holidays Everyone!
